Yet another win for Knausgård

My Struggle - First Book has been awarded the 2010 P2 Listeners' Prize. This is the first time ever that an author has received this prize twice; Karl Ove Knausgård also won for A Time To Every Purpose Under Heaven (2004). This is the third prize for Knausgård's ambitious six-novel project.

Vol. 1 was awarded the prestigious 2009 Brage Award, and vol. 1-3 were chosen as Book of the Year 2009 by the readers of the renowned Norwegian magazine Morgenbladet Vol. 1 has also been nominated for the 2010 Nordic Council's Literary Prize, the 2009 Norwegian Critics' Prize, the Youth Critics' Prize and the Booksellers' Prize.

The Nordic Council's Literary Prize is generally regarded as the most prestigious Nordic literary prize, ranking above any of the national awards. The prize goes to a work of imaginative literature written in one of the Nordic languages. The winner must meet high literary and artistic standards. The prize consists of 47 000 Euro.
