Knausgård nominated for the 2010 Nordic Council's Literary Prize

Little more than a week after winning the prestigious Brage Prize, Karl Ove Knausgård has been nominated for the Nordic Council’s Literary Prize for his novel My Struggle - First Book .

The Nordic Council's Literary Prize is generally regarded as the most prestigious Nordic literary prize, ranking above any of the national awards. The prize goes to a work of imaginative literature written in one of the Nordic languages. The winner must meet high literary and artistic standards. The prize consists of 47 000 Euro. This is the second important prize Knausgård has won for My Struggle - First Book, after being awarded the 2009 Brage Award a month ago.
