The Human as Citizen

Barth, Fredrik (ed.): Mennesket som samfunnsborger

Throughout history, people have led the most different lives. Still today we find a colossal range in cultures and ways of life among people, from the Equator to the Arctic. We find everything from Stone Age societies to automaton societies. Despite these differences, all these ways of life are marked by something that is fundamentally human. Social anthropology looks for understanding of the dependencies and limitations in all human societies and cultures.
