This is Bjarte Breiteig’s third collection of short stories, and the intense stories all circle around existentially challenging situations. At the same time they make sharp incisions into different social realities; we are introduced to people in the midst of change and desperation, young adults who are confronted with themselves and the lives they lead. The stories are played out against a backdrop of stylistic and lifeless suburbs and small towns.
