The pieces are made from scraps of wallpaper that he has torn off the walls in his own home. One of them are different; Sub Rosa. It is made up of old papers and fragments of a letter. One day the owner of the gallery is found, brutally murdered. Police detective Anne-kin Halvorsen at Trondheim police department is on the case.
