Jon Magnus (b. 1928) has for the last twenty-five years been a foreign correspondent of the Oslo newspaper VG, and as such been stationed for prolonged periods in New York and Berlin, as well as other cities abroad. He has for many years covered wars, civil strife and natural disasters the world over, most recently focusing on the Balkans.
